Day 1 Nairobi

Meet and greet at JKI Airport by a Swissport representative. After baggage claim meet your driver and be transferred to the Tamarind Tree Hotel. The nearby Langata and Karen suburbs are among Nairobi's liveliest and most popular with world-class shopping malls and excellent restaurants.

Day 2 Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

The day starts with an early breakfast where you meet your private English-speaking guide who will be with you for the next 6 days. Guiding you across beautiful Kenya in a 4x4 Land Cruiser.

In the Afternoon visit Crescent Island and the enjoy a 3 night stay at Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Day 3 Lake Naivasha

Rise and shine. Time to explore Lake Nakuru National Park with a picnic lunch.

On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking and attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore.

Day 4 Lake Naivasha

Get ready for an action packed day of adventure. Enjoy a morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha in a private 6 seater boat.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake north west of the capital Nairobi and it is the highest of the Rift Valley lakes which is 1884m above sea level and has many different types of wildlife with a good portion of hippos and fish including Crayfish, Tilapia and 400 species of birds of which Great Cormorants, Long-tailed Fish Eagles, Pelicans and all types of Kingfishers.

After lunch enjoy a walk on the Wildside.

Named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, the Hell's Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. Visitors can enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural spa.

Day 5 Masai Mara

For many, this is the day you have been waiting for. Have a hearty breakfast and enjoy a scenic 236km (4 hour drive) to the Masai Mara.  Arrive in time for an afternoon game.

If you're looking to see Big Cats, the Masai Mara National Reserve is an excellent place to spot them. The Mara has been called the Kingdom of Lions and these powerful hunters dominate these grasslands. Cheetahs are also a common sight in the Mara, as are hyena and smaller predators such as jackals. You'll have an excellent opportunity to spot them by enjoying scheduled game drives across the Mara plains.

At Basecamp Masai Mara choose between seventeen double riverside tents, all built along the banks of the Talek River, the natural border to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. With more than 286 identified bird species, you are certain to wake to a symphony of birdsong while staying at Basecamp Masai Mara.

Day 6 Masai Mara

Morning and afternoon game drives are on todays bucket list. Look out for the big 5 and spectacular wildlife sightings. The camp also provides an excellent base for exploring nature conservation and Community-based initiatives like the Masai Beading Center to promote & preserve local culture and talent.

Day 7 Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Mara Naboisho is a ground-breaking example of tourism benefiting conservation and community. The Conservancy is comprised of land leased from 500 Maasai landowners and the conservancy fees provide the local community with a sustainable livelihood whilst ensuring the conservation of the wildlife in this this vital corridor of the Mara eco-system.

A short road transfer takes you to your second camp, Basecamp Eagle View. Choose between nine luxurious tents with either double or twin beds, The camp overlooks a natural waterhole where the wild animals come to drink. The area is one of Africa’s prime game viewing destinations with all year round abundant wildlife as well as home to the highest population of lions in Africa. National Geographic has named Eagle View as one of the top 25 eco-lodges in the world.

Relax in your camp and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Why not organise a Maasai culture talk & storytelling around the campfire when you get back in the evening.

Day 8 Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Wake up to a fresh cup of coffee and the sounds of the bush.  What are your plans for today? Perhaps a guided walking safari by our Maasai guides, visit a community project or a night game drive to see something different?

Day 9 Mara Naboisho Conservancy

It’s your last day on safari. Time to pack in as much as possible. How about an early morning game drive and after lunch visit a local community project followed by your last game drive with a sundowner in the bush.

Day 10 Nairobi

Safari Njema is a Swahili saying that means “safe journey” or “great trip.” We hope to see you again in wild Kenya. Time for a quick bush walk with a Maasai Guide or early morning game drive.

Transfer included from Wilson Airport to JKI Airport via an airport hotel for a meal stop (food /drink payable direct. Hotel room is not included). 

A strict baggage allowance of 15 kilos per person, including hand luggage, is applicable on all small aircraft.  The carriage of excess baggage is not guaranteed.  These flights may not be direct and involve a number of stops en route to the destination.
