Conservation
For those of us who live for enchanting places and experiences, for seeing what’s around the next corner, it’s just as important to preserve these treasures for generations to come.
Impact, don't extract!
Supporting unique and endangered wildlife and ecosystems all over the globe is one of our core values — simply put, it’s the reason we do what we do. We work with partners who share our commitment to protecting the natural world.
As well as investing in environmental protection, investing in relationships with local communities in these amazing places is central to our philosophy. We believe giving back, and empowering people to protect the natural treasures in their guardianship, is one of the most important ways we can make a global impact.
We’re proud that travellers with TribalTourist have the option of travelling carbon neutral with our environmentally conscious program. We support Jobs4Carbon, an organization that helps fight ecosystem degradation in the Klein Karoo area of South Africa. Spekboom, a miraculous indigenous plant, is known for its ability to store large amounts of carbon. By employing local communities to help regrow ancient thickets in the area, Jobs4Carbon is making a real contribution towards the future. We are proud to be able to offset your flights by supporting them.
Note from our Tribal Leader
I’ve been in this game for many years, but it’s never gotten old. Every time someone comes back from a RARE Earth Experience and tells me that this was an experience of a lifetime, I know that all the effort that I and the team has put in was worthwhile.
You see, our expectations are high. For me, it’s not enough for you to have a good trip; a RARE Earth Experience should be an adventure that enriches your life for years to come, something that becomes part of your family lore, a story that you can tell around the campfire for the rest of your life. And by teaming up with partners who believe in supporting the natural world as much as we do, we want your adventure to not only be life-enriching for you, but to leave the natural world in a better place than you found it. By investing in experiences that protect these precious remote locations, we believe that travel can be a powerful force for good.
Regards,
Matthew Kearns, The Tribal Leader
